Due to lithium content of batteries all handheld radios must travel by ground routes. Fixed sets can travel by air.
On Deck – Digital two way radio series
We offer a very popular and widely used onboard Superyachts comms handheld in the F62D. The F62D is the UHF [ultra-high frequency] version, UHF is for comms down below and around vessel. UHF offers far better bulkhead penetration than VHF. The F62D will be programmed with standard onboard ships comms channels.
Professional VHF Marine Transceiver
For on-deck/tender and general marine band VHF, we recommend the M73 and M73PLUS. The PLUS version has last voice record feature. This is a pro level handheld, super robust, waterproof and lots of features. All ICOM marine radios can be programmed with private channels, if the vessel is already operating on their own private channels.
Survival Craft 2-way VHF Radio
For GMDSS/SOLAS compliant vessels, we offer an industry standard handheld GMDSS radio, the GM1600. These are used as part of GMDSS package as emergency grab radios in case of distress alert and life raft. The emergency lithium batteries are date stamped [5 years] – GMDSS inspectors check date for validity. We offer a MED Pack, this includes both the emergency date stamped lithium battery plus a re-chargeable Li-Ion battery for day to day use. Batteries for this are consumables [replaced every approx 4 years]. GM1600MED PACK, BP234 Lithium Batt.
GM600
The GM600 VHF Transceiver is designed for Class A DSC operation and provides a complete GMDSS VHF communication system as required for Commercial SOLAS regulated vessels engaging in international voyages. The GM600 meets the Marine Equipment Directive 2014/90/EU “wheel mark” approval for European merchant ships. When installed with the GM800 MF/HF radio, GM600 and GM800 radios provide a complete GMDSS VHF, MF and HF radio station.

GM800
