Our project management service will include arranging all permissions and permits from organisations such as Civil Aviation Authorities for each specific geographical area of operation. All flights in a Hot Air Balloon are weather dependent and each flight will be meticulously planned and agreed only between the Pilot and Captain. If weather conditions are suitable, the Balloon can rise thousands of feet in the air and once airborne, the yacht can follow and either position herself ready for the landing directly back on deck or with the assistance of a tender. Alternatively, we have designed an inflatable swim platform (for inflation and deflation on yachts that don’t have the required space) which can be toed into place by the tenders. Having a Balloon onboard would also give your guests the option of a more traditional flights onshore.
We have designed all the Balloon equipment to suit this operation. For example, the Balloon basket being made from new aircraft specific fabric, not traditional wicker so it can be dismantled and transported by tender to and from shore and easily stored below deck with minimal space requirements.
GCM will also hand-select and manage the right commercial Balloon Pilot who has the experience to fly in this scenario and confidentially engage with your guests. Having years of experience in both the Superyacht and Commercial Hot Air Ballooning industries, our Project Coordinator’s at GMC are excited to provide your guests with an adventure that is Truly Unforgettable!
